Sorry i havent updated for a long time guys , been so busy its not been funny . New semester is crap , except for bakery . Molecular cooking , kitchen design and maintainence is truly an unimaginable subject that it gives a whole new meaning to the word BORING .

For you guys who dont know what the fuck molecular cooking means , it means a pain in the ass . Somehow or rather there are the pros and cons to it . Like for example , ill give you guys the positive side of it first , the creativity involved in this subject is limitless . I could make your ice cube taste like nasi lemak if i wanted to , i could make asam pedas into a small sphere where by if you pop it into your mouth , you get the whole taste of asam pedas . Thats how great the subject is . HOWEVERRRR , its a pain in the ass because you got all these chemicals involved such as your algizoon , algazoon , calazoon , xanthazoon , dont-know-what-else-zoon . Measurements have to be on the dot or not the dish turns out like crap , and i mean crap . ill show you guys some good examples of benda jadi dan benda tak jadi .

If you guys wanna check out some famous chefs that are familiar in this method of cooking , check out Ferran Adria , Heiko Antoniwicz , and Gerhard . their platings are simply breathtaking . NO matter how fucked up their attitudes are , you gotta have some respect for the guys . Alright , picture time . ROLL EM' !

this was our first ever dish we made , besides the Carrot spheres with Ducca .

this was honey melon caviar . Looks small , but the impact of flavour was unbelievably

strong!

thought one day i would be making carrot juice and mixing it to become a gel .

There was another sphere we made out of Campari (a really strong liqour) but

that was terrible .

This is were it got a bit better . The shot glass on the left , is actually orange

juice on the bottom and red wine on top , But its not actually liquid . Its actually

a really light foam . The one on the left is pure red wine foam . Extremely

light yet flavourful .

This is where it starts to get dangerous , and im not joking . That container

is housing liquid nitrogen which temperature is approximately -182 degrees celcius

Just 3 seconds on your hand and it can actually give you a cold burn . Which means ,

its the reverse of a burn , it freezes your hand so bad that it can actually turn your

hand into ice and if you smash your hand , Welllllll lets just say your be using

your finger as an ice cube for your teh o' . What he was doing was carrot juice in a ballon

. While rolling it , the liquid inside freezes and it turns into a ball . The pictures will

explain everything

Before i continue with some more pictures , lemme just give you a heads up that the

following pictures are for the dinner we were doing for some Datuk that night . Note

that this is the same shit that goes on in hotels .


Basically our menu for the night had an appetizer , a soup , 2 main courses ,

and 2 desserts . Sorry that i couldnt get any pics for the soup and 1 of the main courses

really rushing that night ,so really limited pics .

This was our appetizer . Pan fried scallops , with carrot spagghetti , mustard oil and leaves

and carrots with scallop tartar .

This was one of our main courses , Asam pedas served with rice and ikan pari

To me , i think throughout the whole 4 course meal , i think the desserts were the

killer . This gives a whole new meaning to Bubur Cha Cha . The purple cube are actually

the yam which we gel-ed it and notice that there is a sphere on top of it . Well thats the

jelly in mineral water spheres . Cool huh ?

This was the dessert done by the lecturers . This is carrot cake , with a side of

blueberries and a small line of nuts with chocolate sauce . Remember about the carrot balls

Well here they are , Placed directly above the carrot cake . Lovely things ,

they just melt in your mouth when you place them in . Was a perfect topping

to end the meal .

i cant really say that i hate this subject , yet i have 1001 reasons to hate it ?

makes no sense because its 7am in the morning . GOOD night!!!

sometimes , i guess we gotta make up our minds . We cant be living our life in the middle , wasting our time thinking what should be our next move . There i was today , scrolling through the countless amount of bullshit on facebook such as 'you are 90% gay' or 'you will have 2046723416892316 wives' . the fuck? Anyway , this certain post caught my attention . Pay tribute to MJ now . And thats when it hit me

Such a tragic loss to the world . Even though he was framed for all types of shit , he still made it through . Not bad for a 50 year old pop king . Even though he is gone , his music and memories will live on in our phones and ipods .

And now back to MY story . Today wasnt such a bad day at all . Woke up in time for prayers . Amazingly , considering i slept at 6am . Met Aznam , faye , zai and Matt at the mosque and continued at the food court . Went home , then went to the gym for kicks . Then met up with Os , Aznam , Azman and Zai for a round of pool . The best part was , i actually won me and aznam
a PERDANA V6 and an OPEL FRONTERA 4WD !! . Excellent game gents , now if you would just hand me the keys tomorrow before i splash red paint on your house . hahaha.

It has really nice , bright and loud colours , but between you and me , this is the problem to all our police traffic solutions , put it in a juction and you got a traffic light . A chingky once said 'ini burung letak kat ss2 sana traffic mesti okay punya , jalan semua clear , polis tak payah risau ' . hahaha , puki nyer ah ying




The fish by Adam , Lynessa , Grace and Sarah . Nice colour , but too monotoned . I love the perky-ness of the fish , its a horny fish . WTF .




The buttered version looks wayyyyyyyyyy better . Looks more cooler . with the sisik , and the details . Deserves an A++ man .




This is the cream of the crop man . The best so far , the bees knees , the cats pjyamas . The sex man . Its pure artwork . Picasso couldnt even carve the tail man . (if your reading this nic , im not being sarcastic ) . At least he decided to colour it grey-ish to give it the classy horse look instead of the normal brownish , blackish look . The tones are amazing and so is the detail . Hats of too Nic man!!

Vietnamese cooking a.k.a vietnam cooking

We did a spot of vietnam cooking last Monday , and those vietnames really know food . Excellent beef Pho (pronounced as ''far") as well as the shrimp fried rice . Dessert was a letdown . wasnt as good as i expected . jangan marah Jiawen , not your fault . hahahaha . As for this cuisine . its made up mostly of beef and pork . Fuck man .





This is like mother of all dishes in Vietname , The Beef Pho . Its considered a national dish over there , much like our nasi lemak . It consists of noodles , beef (preferrably the tenderloin or rump ) and also the stock . The stock is the pillar for this dish , without it , it just sucks . A good stock confirms a good pho . Usually the stock is boiled for a minimum of 9 hours +++ . the longer the better bai!

This is the honey orange chicken and the shrimp fried rice . Takde la best mana . but the rice is damn good . chicken sucks . should of made lemongrass chicken or the grilled beef .

Watashi wa Korean cooking

Today was a really good day . Took exam questions , and it was just my luck to get fucking vietnamese cooking . Gotta practice soon , but before that to get into the mood , im going out for vietnamese later for lunch . hahahaha . Thanks Nic!! . As for today , we did a bit of Korean Cuisine . Simple stuff . At least it wasnt Kimchi , Kimchi and more Kimchi .

Korean cuisine

Appetizer - korean dumplings

Soup - Korean cabbage soup

Main course - Korean BBQ chicken served with fried rice

Dessert - Asian pear with peppercorn

This was the soup that we made , Korean cabbage . It uses , well , Korean cabbage . Taste like cabbage and the texture is like cabbage . The best cabbage soup .

After plating it . The greens by the side give it a nice garnish .

This was our appetizer , Korean Dumplings . Notice the 2 big puffy ones in the middle . Jia Wen (not real name ) decided to try and deep fry it and it turned out to be a huge ass keropok. Minus the taste . The filling for the Dumplings were done in 2 parts , mainly because the original minced beef was too slow too cook . So we used the tenderloin which cooks faster . The result , really tender beef that doesnt make the dumpling soggy but sits nicely in there until you bite into it . The beef was mixed with cabbage , onions , garlic , salt + pepper , carrots , soy sauce and sesame oil giving it a really flavourful mixture .

After plating . Portioning too big for 1 pax , 2 were eaten to make the portion correct

Right , this was the highlight of the whole menu . The main course . Who fucks this one up fucks the whole menu up . This was a particular dish i quite liked because no matter how bad you are , you just cant fuck this dish up . Its just simple shallow sau'te-ing with oil and garlic and a whole lot of sesame oil and soy sauce to give it flavour . The sesame oil is one of my favourite oil next to olive oil because of its fragrant aroma . Chinese just dig it (not being rasict ) .




This was the chicken in the middle of the process . Sorry i didnt get a picture of the end product . Tak sempat sebab pergi bawah beli air . Notice the black lumps in the pan . Thats a whole lot of cancer for you all .

Fried rice . As usual . your normal mixture of soy sauce and what not . Nothing special .

This was our desert , very plain . We did change the design after that , but i dont have a picture . We cut it on the top so it would fan out and change the plate to a much larger plate . By right , we should of made a thicker sauce instead of using the sugar syrup from the can . Strawberry or chocolate sauce would of done it .

And finally , put everything together

And wala! you got a set meal for 1 pax . The rice we used for this presentation was white rice ., but obviously after hard work we would pig out on the fried rice . And there you have it Korean cuisine . Simple yet a very flavourful cuisine .

And as for my vietnamese cuisine for my exam , ive decided to get ready early and do my research . So far , the menu i have come up with is

Appetizers - Shrimp Spring rolls

Soups - Beef pho (pronounce 'far')

main course - Stir fry beef with cauliflower and mushrooms

Dessert - Banana with thick coconut sauce with vanilla ice cream
